PSU opens new classes, research centers on Russian Science Day

Penza, 8 February 2016. PenzaNews. The Military Education Institute of the Penza State University has opened new computer classes, equipped with state-of-the-art communication, tracking and navigation devices, on Monday, February 8.

“The new classes – both those already launched, and those that will receive a shipment of equipment from St. Petersburg in a week – will allow our cadets to receive the vital knowledge in maximally true-to-life conditions. We are doing a great lot of work to ensure defensive capabilities of our country and keep our professionals in tune with the times,” noted the PSU principal Alexander Gulyakov.

The study rooms of the Military Education Center underwent repairs during the summer, he reminded.

“Right now, we are procuring new computers and dedicated software. And we do not plan to stop our work in this field, in spite of the tough economic times,” the principal stressed.

In addition, the PSU also opened its clinic and medical center during the Russian Science Day celebrations.

Moreover, the university opened a new car diagnostics center with expensive equipment, which will perform two tasks – provide car diagnostics services, and serve as a practice ground for engineering majors.
