“We plan to reorganize the upper section of Moskovskaya street so that parking will be allowed only on one side of the street – on one on even days, and on another on odd days,” he said during the meeting of the permanent City Duma committee on urban planning, land use and property held on Tuesday, February 9.
According to him, new road signs, along with warnings that violators will be towed, will be effective starting in mid-February.
“This will be compensated by the already existing parking zones by ‘Rodina’ cinema, at [the shopping and entertainment center] ‘Vysshaya Liga,’ and on Kuraeva street with its multi-level parking lot. On the second stage of reconstruction, we plan to create additional parking zones,” Alexei Ryabov explained.
He also reminded that there are plans to make the affected section of Moskovskaya street a pedestrian-only zone in the future.
