Defense Ministry to donate Penza region military machines for open-air museums

Penza, 11 February 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza region will receive 21 military machines for open-air museums following the decree by the Assistant Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, the press service of the Penza city administration informed PenzaNews agency.

“Some of the exhibitions will arrive to Penza city and will be installed in the 40-letiya Pobedy public garden,” the city hall clarified.
According to the press service, the final exhibition layout in the public garden, as well as the list of exhibitions that will arrive to the main city of the region, will be completed by the end of this week.
“These include rare pieces, such as the WWII-age self-propelled gun ‘Zveroboy’ [SU-152], and machinery produced by the Penza ‘Penzkompressormash’ factory,” the city administration pointed out.
Before they will be installed in the open-air museums, the military machines will be disarmed and transferred from federal into municipal property, the city hall explained.
