Penza region citizens hand in nearly 100 firearms to police over past year

Penza, 12 February 2016. PenzaNews. The citizens of Penza region have handed in to the police 96 firearms, over 10,000 ammunition rounds, 3 TNT blocks, 7 grenades and 16 explosive devices over the year of 2015.

Under the still-ongoing regional campaign “Arms,” people can voluntarily hand in ammunition and explosive devices for a reward, the press service of the regional Ministry of the Interior department informed PenzaNews agency.

“Moreover, voluntarily hand-in of the aforementioned items relieves citizens from criminal liability they would face for illegal keeping,” they reminded.
