“A number of high-profile crimes have been solved. We arrested a group of Roma people, residents of the Ryazan region, who had been committing murders and other grievous crimes in a number of constituent territories in Russia, including two murders in the Penza region. We prevented a hit contract on an Uzbekistan citizen by his compatriots. We jailed for 22 years a criminal who had been committing acts of sexual violation against his own underage daughter, recording the video and uploading it online. In November, we arrested a band of money forgers from Moscow and the Moscow region who were disseminating counterfeit banknotes in the Penza region,” he clarified.

At the same time, the police are currently in the process of investigating 14 criminal episodes by a head of a real estate agency “Nadezhny Partner,” Yuri Ruzlyaev added.

“We have implemented a series of operational procedures to prevent the emergence of pyramid investment schemes in the region. The level of citizens’ protection against fraudsters could be further increased via amendments to the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code that provide criminal responsibility for creating and managing pyramid schemes. The law draft is currently on review in the State Duma,” noted the head of the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department.
