Penza, 13 February 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza region will honor the legacy of Russian soldiers who served abroad, in a series of events dedicated to Russian Internationalist Soldiers Day.

On Sunday, February 14, the youth center will hold a meeting session for members of Penza military-patriotic clubs with veterans of the Afghan War.

The event in the center will also feature a photo exhibition and a solemn assembly with an award ceremony for the veterans, which will conclude with a grand concert.

Monday, February 15, will be marked with public rallies by the Torn Star monument and the Afghan Gates monument, as well as in the Novo-Zapadnoye cemetery.

Educational organizations of the Penza region will hold patriotic song contests, meetings with internationalist warriors, panel discussions, memory lessons and book exhibitions, says the press service of the regional government.
