“We are preparing for this important event, we addressed proposals for the Penza region to participate in the World Cup to the Russian government. With out adjacency to Saransk, one of the locations of the World Cup, taken into account, we aim to accept as many participants as possible, provide them with everything required for comfortable residence during the football match season,” Ivan Belozertsev said.
In turn, Timur Kebekov noted that that would be a logical decision.
“I will support you, that would be logical and correct. As Saransk would not be able to accept all guests, Penza can house some of them. Moreover, here we have interesting tourism routes that will allow them to enjoy their stay in your region,” he pointed out.
Moreover, the parties agreed to closely cooperate in ensuring transportation security within the region – not only during the World Cup, but on a permanent basis.
In addition, the Penza transportation prosecutor Sergei Gusev, appointed in his office in October 2015, has been officially introduced to the governor for the first time during the recent meeting.
The head of the region highly praised his achievements at work.
“The re-appointed prosecutor managed to establish working contacts with the law enforcement bodies, with the Penza region government. This cooperation helps to ensure more effective security for transportation locations of the region, the press service of the regional government quotes Ivan Belozertsev.”
