Head Penza officials congratulate war veteran with 100th anniversary

Penza, 22 February 2016. PenzaNews. The city head Valery Savelyev and the Penza mayor Victor Kuvaytsev personally congratulated the Second World War veteran Antonina Vasichkina with her 100th anniversary which she celebrates on Monday, February 22.

They were joined by Oksana Chizhova, Assistant Minister of Health of the region, Lidiya Belyakova, Pervomaisky city area administration head, and members of the public.
Victor Kuvaytsev presented Antonina Vasichkina a congratulation letter from the Russian President Vladimir Putin, a gift, a cake, and a flower bouquet.
The authorities wished her good health and prosperity, says the press service of the city hall.
Antonina Pavlovna Vasichkina was born in Penza on 22 February 1916.
She graduated the Kuybyshev Medical Institute.
For 47 years, Antonina Vasichkina had worked as a primary care physician: she began in the city hospital No. 3, then in the health center of the military hospital No. 740 during the war. After the war, she headed the “Penzmash” factory clinic.
She holds the decoration “Expert of Healthcare,” many medals and numerous certificates.
Antonina Vasichkina brought up a son, three grandsons, five great-grandsons and six great-great-grandsons.
