Penga governor, Gansu Chinese province delegate discuss cooperation potential

The governor Ivan Belozertsev and delegates from the Chinese province of Gansu have discussed the potential for future cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural fields during the business meeting held at the Penza gubernatorial house on Thursday, February 25.

In a welcoming word to the visiting party, the head of the region expressed his belief that the long-time mutually beneficial strategic partnership between the Penza region and China will continue to improve and develop.
“For a bigger partnership, the Penza region has good potential in industry and cutting-edge production, construction and agriculture, forestry; we have skilled experts and specialist training facilities. Our current tax preferences system for investors is one of the most progressive in Russia,” Ivan Belozertsev noted.
The Penza region and the Gansu province have great cooperation potential, he added.
During the meeting, the parties discussed potential mutual exchange of students in management, economy and cultural areas.
Gansu delegates invited Penza doctors to study the fine points of Eastern medicine. According to Xia Hongmin, vice governor of the Gansu province, unification of Chinese and European medicine can result in great results.
In turn, Ivan Belozertsev accepted the offer.
“Both sides will benefit from exchanging experience, operating procedures, treatment technologies. I will instruct our regional Health Ministry to prepare proposals in this field,” said the head of the region.
The two regions have been cooperating for 15 years, Xia Hongmin pointed out, praising the effectiveness of coordination in higher education.
“I want to thank you for teaching excellent professionals with Russian language skills. All of them are now successfully working in the economy of the People’s Republic of China,” noted the vice governor of the Chinese province.
In conclusion, the Chinese party invited Ivan Belozertsev to lead the delegation from the Penza region during the international cultural exhibition in the PRC in September, says the press service of the regional government.
