“The sum allocated for procurement auctions on a list of road repairs that we discussed and have currently is a total of about 350 million rubles. In the nearest future, we are ready to use our previously announced sum of 204 million rubles on auctions,” the mayor clarified.
In turn, Yuri Ilyin, vice mayor of Penza city administration, explained the sources and the targets of aforementioned 204 million rubles of funding.
“110 million rubles are from the region that come from the regional road fund. 44 million rubles will be allocated by us to conduct sectoral reports. We will have some of the subcontractors on the most ‘blatant’ sections by mid-April – we will get in touch with them,” the vice mayor said.
According to him, further accelerating subcontractor selection process is not possible, as online procurement auctions may last up to 40 days.
“In addition, ‘Penzadormost’ has a contracted sum of 30 million rubles for pothole repairs. We will be beginning that as early as in late March, if the weather allows. […] And we decided that certain road sections do not require full coverage. We can also direct additional 20 million rubles on pothole repairs, but that will be decided with a separate procurement auction,” Yuri Ilyin added.
The funds distribution plan will be discussed at the City Duma session in March, he noted.
