Penza youth center to present photos made in mid-20th century

Penza, 8 March 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza youth center will open a new exhibition titled “Soviet Russia of 40s and 50s” on Friday, March 18.

Penza youth center to present photos made in mid-20th century

The exhibition is dedicated to the collection of the Penza photographer Oleg Mashin, and will feature both photos and belongings from the WWII and post-WWII generations of people living in Penza, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Minsk and other cities.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition will include a quiz show “Penza of 40s and 50s.”

Also, the visitors will be able to meet veterans, local lore historians, and members of war artifact scavenger groups.

The exhibition will stay open for visitors, free of charge, through April 2, says the website of the youth center.
