Penza, 11 March 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza region EMERCOM headquarters gave recommendations to the staff of the Belinsky central park in advance of Maslenitsa mass celebrations.

In particular, they reminded that the winter effigy burning grounds must be corded off at 50 meters in all directions, with fire extinguishing services and water hydrants ready and in suitable conditions to be used or approach the possible accident site.

Moreover, they advised against using flammable liquids when burning the effigy.

Also, they placed particular emphasis on safety of the children.

“All top management of the institutions were briefed on fire safety and plan of action in case of fires. We will install additional barriers to keep citizens safe. A firetruck will remain on guard within 30 meters of the burning site. We are taking all measures to prevent any possible accident,” pointed out Vladimir Stolyarov, chief staff member of the city supervision office.
