Penza, 15 March 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza branch of the MNEPU Academy has signed an agreement to enroll its students in the psychology volunteer team during the meeting between the academy branch management and representatives of the regional EMERCOM headquarters.

The event was also dedicated to realizing the potential of the volunteer student movement in cooperation with the EMERCOM psychology service.

The parties discussed organizing joint dispatches of psychologists and student volunteers to preschool and children’s camps for the “Safety Day” campaign and to temporary accommodations for persons displaced due to emergencies.

Similar agreements already have been signed with the Penza State University and the Penza Cossack Institute of Technologies (branch of the Razumovsky Moscow State University of Technology and Management), Anna Shupilova, head of information and public relations division of the main EMERCOM department in the Penza region, told PenzaNews.

“We are already involving the students from these universities in our work. In particular, they took part in the ‘Human Factor’ competitions,” she said.

She added that the students of the regional MNEPU Academy branch will undergo a training course on fire safety, safe conduct and principles of first psychological aid.

“During any large-scale emergencies, they will be involved in providing aid to people in need,” Anna Shupilova summed up.
