The head of the region paid particular attention to certain architectural and urban planning solutions implemented in the dynamically developing megalopolis, and suggested that the experience of Kazakhstan in this field may also end up being useful and even partially implemented in Penza.
In his comment on the objectives for the delegation, Ivan Belozertsev stressed that the visit to the friendly country will give a new push for the development of bilateral relations.
“The sales turnover of the Penza region with Kazakhstan reached almost $41 million by the end of last year. Around 200 Penza enterprises are engaged in mutual trade with the country. Heads of some of these companies joined this delegation that aims to strengthen our economic ties,” he said.
The delegation agenda for the next two days will feature business meetings with such persons as Mikhail Bocharnikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in Kazakhstan; heads of ministries and government organizations; and the Astana akim (head of the local government) Adilbek Dzhaksybekov, the press service of the Penza region government told PenzaNews.
The Penza region and Astana signed the agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation in 2012, and it continues being implemented in many fields.
In particular, the list of companies working with Kazakhstan includes “Penztyazhpromarmatura,” “Penzkompressormash,” “Penza Confectionary Factory,” “Penzadieselmash,” “Mayak Kants,” and “Biosintez.”
