Penza people’s enterprise members to buy flour for 50% price

Penza, 29 March 2016. PenzaNews. Members of the Penza people’s enterprise – which is registered as the consumer cooperative “Tovarisch” – will be able to save a lot of money on purchases, such as by buying flour for 50% of the price seen in big store chains, announced Georgy Kamnev, deputy of the Penza region Legislative Aseembly, first secretary of the regional CPRF committee.

“Dried peas are [going to cost] 26.50 rubles, while the cheapest we found is 31.80 rubles. As for flour: the cheapest we found is 32 rubles, we will have 16 rubles per kg. There you have the approximate prices we will have,” the leader of Penza Communists said during the afternoon live broadcast of “Echo of Penza” radio station with Semen Vakhshtain on Tuesday, March 29.

According to Georgy Kamnev, the cooperative will begin with a small assortment of goods at the early stage of work.

“We will mainly have essential foods – grains, flour, macaroni and pasta, sugar. That would be the assortment for the beginning,” he elaborated.

As PenzaNews reported earlier, the leader of Penza Communists Georgy Kamnev on the 10th joint plenum of the CPRF Central Committee and the Central Control and Revision Committee held in the Moscow region on Saturday, March 26 announced the creation of a people’s enterprise in the region, registered as a consumer cooperative and named “Tovarisch.”

According to him, the cooperative will focus on establishing a direct link between producers and consumers, and its members will be able to buy goods at producer prices, while the enterprise itself will seek no profit and thus have no trade markup.
