On Wednesday, April 6, the members of the Chamber together with non-commercial organizations, relevant civil councils and representatives of the Roszdravnadzor and the regional Health Ministry held a raid inspection in Penza.
Overall, the inspection group concluded that the visited drugstores provide a wide range of Russian and foreign medicine.
“The drugstores checked today do not exceed the price thresholds for vital and essential drugs,” noted Sergei Degtyar, chairman of the health protection, demographics and childhood committee of the Penza region Civic Chamber.
However, he stressed that cheap Russian medicine is slowly disappearing from the stores.
In turn, Elena Blaschuk, assistant secretary of the regional Civic Chamber, pointed out the importance of supporting or restoring the state and municipal drugstore chain that would sell medicine at affordable prices.
The authorities will continue monitoring the drugstores.
The inspection results will be generalized and directed to relevant state bodies, says the Penza region government website.
