Over 40,000 people take part in Penza Saturday neighborhood clean-up
Penza, 17 April 2016. PenzaNews. More than 42,000 people have taken part in the Penza city-wide Saturday neighborhood clean-up on April 16, the press service of the city administration informed PenzaNews.

“The clean-up measures involved 153 vehicles, helped remover 1,364 cubic meters of trash and clean more than 200,000 sq. meters of city territories. The measures were held in all four city areas,” the administration noted.
According to the press service, along with the traditional spring cleaning activities, citizens were planting new trees and flowers, cleaning up the facades of various buildings and cutting down tree branches on the verge of falling or interfering with power wiring.
“People from authorities, educational institutions, companies and organizations, communal institutions, the public and the communal management went out to help spruce up Penza,” the city administration added.
