Penza, 18 April 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev expressed his gratitude to the citizens of the region who actively participated in the Saturday neighborhood clean-up campaigns held on April 16.

“This tradition holds well in the Penza region. People go outside, clean up the areas around their houses and children’s playgrounds, plant trees, improve the city,” he noted during the regional government meeting session on Monday, April 18.

Also, Ivan Belozertsev added that he disagrees with the voices who claim that the authorities try to exploit the monthly city improvement campaign to place their burden on the citizens.

He explained that the public still has not developed the habits necessary to prevent trash in the public places, which is why everybody must join forces to spruce them up.
