PenzaNews. 60-120 road repair brigades, for a total of 350-700 repairmen, are working on the roads of the Penza region every day, announced the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Road Management Alexander Grishaev during the gubernatorial videoconference meeting with administration heads of city areas and municipalities held on Thursday, April 28.

According to him, the amount of workers varies depending on the weather.

Moreover, according to Alexander Grishaev, the main amount of pothole repairs is currently conducted on regional roads, rather than inside the city.

The municipal budgets received a total of 204 million rubles of subsidies for capital and general repair of local roads from the regional budget, the press service of the Penza region government informed PenzaNews.

“In 2016, the amount of road repairs was increased significantly thanks to the initiative of the governor Ivan Belozertsev. Overall, there are plans to repair around 400 km of roads, including maintenance repairs,” the press service said.
