Penza city to restrict alcohol sales on May 9

Penza, 6 May 2016. PenzaNews. A number of Penza stores received instructions to temporarily ban sales of alcoholic beverages, beer and beer products, including those in glass bottles, on Monday, May 9, due to the Victory Day celebrations that will be taking place on that day.

Reportedly, the restrictions will affect the stores and kiosks on the Pobedy prospekt, as well as Karpinskovo and Kommunisticheskaya streets, at 8.00-15.00.
In addition, at 18.00-23.00, alcohol sales will be banned in shops on the Sura river embankment, by the Rostok monument and on Slavy street.
“The measures were introduced to support public order and protect the morals and health of the public, particularly the underage,” the press service of the Penza city administration commented for PenzaNews.
