Penza authorities plant 86 trees in Zarya residential area
Penza, 6 May 2016. PenzaNews. The authorities have planted 86 birch, rowan, fir, ash and acacia seedlings in the Zarya residential area of Penza city during the Friday cleaning measures on May 6.
According the Penza city administration head Victor Kuvaytsev, the city authorities are striving to improve the lives of the people who will be moving there soon.
“Zarya is a new and developing residential area. This construction zone that spans over 800 hectares has land allotted for individual houses as well, with the required social infrastructure to follow. It already has all power and supply pipelines and the transportation network. Our mission is to do everything to make living there comfortable,” he said.
According to the mayor, beautifying the residential area was not the only reason to hold the tree-planting measures in Zarya.
“Not all people who are moving into this residential area know one another well enough, and we decided to bring them together by setting up a joint event. […] We also decided to involve our public servants in the campaign to give them something to put their hands on while the weather’s as good as it is today,” the press service of the city hall quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
