Penza, 6 May 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev has presented state and regional awards to the most prominent professionals in the region during an official ceremony held on Friday, May 6.

In an opening speech, the head of the region congratulated the audience with upcoming Victory Day and stressed that creative work of Penza people is in great demand in the current state of affairs.

“The today’s event brought together to this hall some of the most respected and praiseworthy people of the Penza region. Each of you showed commendable performance in your area and contributed enormously to the development of our land and Russia as a whole. […] You set excellent examples for our youth, help successfully complete the important missions in education and science, healthcare and industry, culture and arts. By joining forces with one another, we will be able to achieve even more,” Ivan Belozertsev said.

During the ceremony, Andrei Lysikov, assistant science director of the Penza Research and Development Electrotechnics Institute, received the Order for Services to the Fatherland II degree.

In addition, Vera Polatova, nurse of the outpatient hospital No. 1, received a letter of gratitude from the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Moreover, a number of culture field representatives received medals for supporting the Year of Literature events from the Russian Year of Literature committee and the Russian Duma chairman Sergei Naryshkin.

Also, several prominent regional personalities in education, science, culture and finance received gubernatorial medals “In Praise of Penza Land” and honorary titles, says the press service of the regional government.
