“The passage of time cannot erase the feats of valor and stories of tragedy in the Great Patriotic War that are written in our hearts. Every year on May 9 is the time when we feel our national unity the strongest, honor the legacy of the fallen heroes and the homeworkers who defended the freedom and independence of our Motherland, express our gratitude to those currently in service,” the mayor stressed.
On this bright and solemn day, the people are honoring the heroes of the battlefields of the bloody and horrible war, as well as those who helped bring the long-awaited Victory closer by selflessly working on military factories day and night, he added.
“Dear veterans, we bow down to you for your immense, eternal feat of valor, for strong spirit and courage, for the endless love for your homeland. For us, you are examples of true patriotism, valor and sacrifice. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you and all Penza citizens good health, long lives, happiness and prosperity!” Victor Kuvaytsev said.
