Penza, 19 May 2016. PenzaNews. Aslan the lion, the most recent resident of the Penza zoo, has been moved to a spacious separate enclosure with a shelter box after the quarantine period.

According to the zoo website, the lion is 1 year and 8 months old – just a teenager in lion’s years – even though he already grew a mane.

Aslan had arrived to the zoo from a circus.

He is the third lion in the Penza zoo, as he joins male Simba and female Dasha. Moreover, Simba also came from a circus – the “Big Cat” animal theater.

The recently arrived lion had to be placed in an enclosure of his own in order to avoid any confrontations between the males.

The zoo visitors can see the young lion in his new enclosure from the spotting platform.
