“The older generation of famed soldiers that were entrusted the guard of the Russian state borders wrote pages of glory in the heroic chronicle of the Fatherland. By carefully preserving and extending the glorious traditions of their forefathers, the young generation of border guards intercept any and all attempts to breach Russian borders and tackle the challenges of international terrorism,” said the head of the region.

He also expressed his gratitute to veteran border guards, and thanked those “who are guarding the Fatherland’s interests today, for selflessly following their duty with endurance and courage!”
