“I went through the city from one end to another, and came to a conclusion that Stroiteley prospekt would have been called an airport runway in Saratov! The average in-city driving speed there was 27 kmph (according to my nav system). When my family and me returned to Penza, we were united in our opinion that our city is the most clean, grean, lean and so on. And we really have something for others to envy!” he wrote in his Facebook.
At the same time, Evgeny Troshin stressed that he had no intention to offend anyone with his words.
“This is simply the opinion of my family and myself,” the minister added.
Among the commenters to the Facebook entry was Yuri Ilyin, Penza vice-mayor.
“Stroiteley prospekt just doesn’t leave the attention spotlight! We already held the procurement auction – the repairs begin in the upcoming week,” he promised.
According to the information published on the government procurement website, the auction for the repairs of several sections of Stroiteley prospekt roadway was held on Thursday, May 26, and ended in favor of the company “Kolizey” which supplied the first application, for a sum of 31,220,746 rubles.
