Over half Penza citizens claim their monthly wage below average

Penza, 30 May 2016. PenzaNews. More than half of Penza region citizens earn less every month than the regional average wage level, according to the PenzaNews website poll held on 15-29 May 2016, which received votes from 471 users (including 335 from Penza and the region).

In particular, just over 20% of the poll claimed their monthly earnings to be around 15-20 thousand rubles; 25% – 10-15 thousand rubles; and more than 15% – under 10 thousand rubles.
The remainder of the poll (around 40%) claimed to earn over 20 thousand rubles every month: just over 10% – 20-25 thousand; around 5% – 25-30 thousand; nearly 7% – 30-35 thousand; and 4.5% – 35-40 thousand.
In addition, an eighth of the poll – just over 12% claimed to earn more than 40 thousand rubles every month.
According to official date, the average earnings in the Penza region per person reached 21,471 rubles in 2015 – 9.5% more than the year before.
The average wage in the Penza region in 2015 increased by 4.2% up to 23,189 rubles.
The average monthly pension was calculated at 11,000 rubles on 1 January 2016, more than 3% more than on 1 January 2015.
