According to the event organizers, the forum seeks to tear down stereotypes of expert media discussion that usually sees the world either through the lens of technology and business, or free speech and reporter freedom.

The event will feature speeches from heads of leading international media sources, representatives of successful communication initiatives, renown journalists and reporters, and authorities.

In particular, the forum speakers come from 15 countries of the world, including the United States, Mexico, Syria, the UAE, France, Japan, and Russia.

Reportedly, the WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will also take part in the event via a videoconference session from the Equador embassy in London: he will open the forum session “End of Monopoly: The Age of Open Information.”

Over the two days of the forum, the participants will seek out answers to the questions about the key features of post-mainstream journalism, the current state of the reporting profession, the establishment of alternative media sources, the factors defining reporting, and the boundaries for free distribution of information.
