According to the city hall press service, during the city administration meeting on Monday, June 6, Victor Kuvaytsev pointed out that the land plot for the new educational institution must be formed in time so that the issue would not cause any unnecessary construction delays.
The construction of a new school on an intersection of Novy Kavkaz and Shevchenko streets is one of the points in the municipal program “Development of Territories, Social and Engineering Infrastructure in Penza City for 2015-2018” approved by the administration decree No. 1179 dated 10 October 2014.
The governor Ivan Belozertsev called the construction of a new school in the city center one of the priorities for 2016, and said that the citizens living in this section “are already bringing their children to other schools of the city, which is inconvenient.”
During the 34th regular session of the Penza region Legislative Assembly on April 5, Ivan Belozertsev announced that the officials allocated 30 million rubles to begin construction of the school in 2016, with the rest of the money to go in the budget for the following year.
Also, the head of the region expressed hopes that the city will be able to promote the project for the federal target program, so that a part of the funding – 70% – would be provided from the federal budget.
The municipality signed a contract No. 8 for a ready-to-use school with “Penzastroykom” on 18 April 2016, with subsequent adjustment and linkage of the project documentation after a positive result from the state project evaluation committee.
According to the Penza city hall, the construction is set to begin in September 2016 and be completed in July 2017.
