Ivan Mescheryakov’s bust monument arrives to Penza

Penza, 10 June 2016. PenzaNews. The bust monument of lieutenant general Ivan Mescheryakov, USSR space communications and strategic forces constructor, Distinguished Worker of Science and Machinery of the RSFSR, arrived to Penza on Friday, June 10.

The bust was brought to Penza from Yaremche city in Ukraine on behalf of the scientist’s widow Natalya Mescheryakova, says the website of the regional United Russia party branch.

It was transported thanks to Alexei Dmitrienko, deputy of the regional Legislative Assembly, and was temporarily stored in the facilities provided by the head of the Penza city Department of Culture Vera Feygina.

The future location for the bust monument and the memorial collection dedicated to Ivan Mescheryakov is yet to be determined.
