Elena Rogova to take part in human rights ombudsmen session in Moscow

Penza, 16 June 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza human rights ombudsman Elena Rogova will take part in the coordination council with her colleagues at the Russian Civic Chamber on Friday, June 17.

The session will be chaired by the human rights ombudsman of Russia Tatyana Moskalkova.
The topic of the meeting is “Cooperation Between Human Rights Ombudsmen With Authorities and Dedicated State Institutions For Protection of Human Rights.”
Reportedly, the members of the coordination council will discuss the current issues in protection of human rights, public examination of law drafts, development of state human rights protection system, and successful means of cooperation between human rights ombudsmen and authorities.
Along with ombudsmen, the event will bring together representatives of State Duma, Ministry of the Interior, State Prosecutor’s Office, Investigative Committee, Federal Penitentiary Service, Foreign Ministry, Civic Chamber, and the Presidential Council on Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, says the website of the Penza region human rights ombudsman.
