Penza, 16 June 2016. PenzaNews. Subcontractors began repairing the roads mentioned by Penza region citizens in their complaints during the live call-in show of the regional governor Ivan Belozertsev.

In particular, the head of the region instructed to begin repairs of the road from Penza to Valyaevka.

According to Andrei Skripkin, director of the Penza city Communal Affairs Department, the 3.5 km of bad road will be repaired using a cold recycling method with reinforcing agents, and subsequent renewal of asphalt.

“We expect the works to be completed by 15 July 2016,” he clarified.

In addition, repairs began on an 8.9 km long patch of the Gorodische – Nikolsk – Nochka – Penza region border road. By June 14, the process is 13% complete: the workers shaved the asphalt, removed two pipelines and began installing the leveling layer.

Moreover, the repairs on the 4-km road section from the Tambov-Penza runway to Bekovo village entered its active stage, with 60% completed so far. The workers are repairing two water drainage pipes at the location, with the leveling layer fully installed.

The procurement auction for the subcontractor to repair 19.6 km of the Sosedka-Kamenka road in the Bashmakovo area (which was featured in a citizen’s question during the live call-in show) is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 17.

Another procurement auction, this time for repairs of 6.4 km of the Vasilyevka-Pazelki road in the Bessonovka area, is scheduled on June 20.

“Overall, there are plans in the Penza region to conduct capital and current repairs on nearly 400 km of roads in 2016 – including general and capital repairs of one bridge, 14 water draining pipes, recovery and installation of seven bus stops, and replacement of 1,400 km of road barriers. There are plans to reconstruct six regional and municipal level roads. In addition, we will install 15.2 km of lightning on regional level roads in the Serdobsk, Belinsky, Nikolsk and Gorodische areas in 2016. The Penza region road fund has allocated 3,022,537,000 rubles for the aforementioned purposes and more, including 405 million rubles from the federal budget,” the press service of the regional government informed PenzaNews.

The May 25 live call-in show with the Penza region governor Ivan Belozertsev received 812 requests with 843 questions, all of which were officially registered ans reviewed by the head of the region and members of the government.

A significant number of the requests were related to the condition of roads in the Penza region.
