The preschoolers rehearsed the rules for crossing the street, the meanings of traffic lights and road markings, and learned why it is important to pay attention to surroundings during the crossing.
The traffic police officers placed particular attention on traffic rules for cyclists – they told the kindergarteners that they should ride bicycles only under adult supervision and only at playgrounds or dedicated bicycle roads.
In addition, the preschoolers took part in an active contest where they competed in skilled bicycle and kick scooter riding, crossing the street, recognizing road signs, and solving riddles, says the press service of the Penza region Ministry of the Interior department.
