Penza, 18 June 2016. PenzaNews. The Penza city administration head Victor Kuvaytsev has evaluated the beautification measures in yards of the Pervomaisky and Leninsky areas of Penza city during the personal inspection on Saturday, June 18.

He was joined by vice-mayors Sergei Volkov, Yuri Ilyin and Andrei Shevchenko, as well as heads of area administrations, departments, and state bodies of Penza.

In particular, the city officials inspected an example of implementation of the “Accessible Environment” program for people with disabilities in the apartment building No. 11 on Sukhumskaya street, which was equipped with wheelchair lifts.

Moreover, Victor Kuvaytsev prased the efforts of citizens to make their yard greener – they installed fences on their own and planted limes next to the house.

Moreover, the inspection visited the yard of Ternovskovo street, No. 172, where citizens cleaned and fenced off an empty land plot for a parking lot; and the yard of Suvorova street, 155, where local residents beautified the flower beds and the children’s playground with hand-made sculptures.

“It is important and notable to see initiatives from the citizens themselves. It is nice to see people trying to make the place of their residence more beautiful. We are ready to keep supporting such initiatives through grants in the future,” the press service of the city hall quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
