The contest brought together joint teams of all Russian military districts, as well as airborne forces and the Northern Fleet.
The event will be divided into four stages.
The first two are dedicated to repairs and KamAZ transportation of D-30A howitzers and ZU-23 anti-aircraft mounts along the course 4 km long with artificial obstacles – a row with a plank bridge, a ford, a mound, a chemical hazard area, a minefield, and more.
The third stage is a weapons biathlon that features a firearms repair relay, while the final stage on June 28 will take the form of an all-included relay.
The winners of the competition will be representing Russia at the contest of the same name at the International Army Games on August 1-10. The event in the Penza area will bring together national teams from Russia, China and Kazakhstan, says the press service of the Central Military District.
