“The firemen helped save the main house, garages and other buildings from the fire, and prevented any casualties,” the letter reads.
The family members personally named each rescuer who came to help them.
“When I thanked them right after they saved us from the fire, they just told me: It’s our job. No, it’s not just a job – it’s your feat in service to the people,” the letter reads.
Also, the letter contains gratitude for a fireman of the Penza fire rescue station No. 3, who arrived to the location and assisted the rescue after he heard the fire siren while passing next to the accident site on his holiday.
“Pavel had a different crew by his side that day – not his usual colleagues, but his wife Elena and the 18-year-old son Andrei. We thank you all!” the letter adds.
