Penza, 3 July 2016. PenzaNews. Alexander Kurchatov, head of the Penza region traffic police department, congratulated current and veteran traffic officers with the 80th anniversary of their department celebrated on Sunday, July 3.

“Throughout all the years of our work, the traffic police plays an enormous role in preserving civil order and ensuring road safety in the country. It is a main element in preventing and stopping traffic laws violations, which helps us avert tragedies on the roads and save human lives,” he noted.

Alexander Kurchatov called protecting people’s lives and well-being a noble and important calling that requires professional skills, patience, selfless hard work and even courage.

“Which is why I would like to thank all officers of the traffic police who sacrifice their hobbies, health and even lives to perform their duty, and also thank your families, relatives and loved ones for showing patience, understanding and support. Also, I would like to thank our veteran officers: for you, duty, honor and justice are not just words – they are your lives. You were the ones to lay down the great traditions of responsible work for the officers to come after you. Today, you successfully pass on your experience to officers and actively participate in the staff life of the traffic police,” he stressed.

The head of the Penza region traffic police department wished all officers, as well as their relatives and loved ones, sound health, happiness, prosperity, inspiration in work and new successes in their profession for the sake of people’s safety.
