Museum of Russian expenditures planned to be opened in Penza

Penza, 8 July 2016. PenzaNews. The Museum of Russian expenditures will be opened by the Penza department of the Russian Geographical Society (RGO).

The project will be implemented with the money of the presidential grant – following the results of the competitive selection RGO will receive 1 million rubles.
The ceremonial opening of the museum is planned to be held in Penza at the beginning of November, 2016.
It is conceived as an educational platform that will unite modern researchers, historians, geographers, writers, artists and other keen people.
There has been already gathered a considerable amount of materials that will form the basis of the exposition. It is planned to be placed in a separate hall of the literature museum. It will tell us about the contribution of Penza residents to research of Alaska, the Aleution Islands, the Arctic and Antarctic. Special attention will be paid to the merits of modern travelers.
“Huge research work is still ahead. We invite everyone who has materials on Penza travelers and who wants to eternize memory of them and let other people learn about their achievements to take part in the museum creation,” the chairman of the regional Russian Geographical Society branch Igor Pantyushov said.
