Over 360 kg of sanction-covered apples from Poland destroyed near Penza

Penza, 11 July 2016. PenzaNews. A batch of apples from Poland weighing 364 kg, which was illegally brought to Russia, was destroyed at the solid waste landfill near the village Chemodanovka of the Penza region. The public relations officer of the Rosselkhoznadzor department in Mordovia and the Penza region Larisa Yakushkina told the news agency PenzaNews about it.

She reminded that 28 boxes of apples were found during the raid at the vegetable warehouse “Petushok,” where the products were illegally sold.
“On packaging there was information confirming that the country of origin of this product was Poland and that the apples originally were brought to the Republic of Belarus,” the agency interviewee explained.
Larisa Yakushkina added that the entrepreneur executing trade could not provide documents confirming the legality of the products transportation, presence on the territory of Russia as well as the products’ phytosanitary security.
“There was initiated an administrative case against the individual under Art. 10.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences ‘Violating the Rules of Production, Procurement, Transportation, Storage, Processing, Use and Sale of Products Subject to Quarantine (of Materials and Cargo Subject to Quarantine),’” the public relations officer of the Rosselkhoznadzor department in Mordovia and the Penza region marked.
