In Penza region 6 road sections, planned to be repaired this year, complete

Penza, 13 July 2016. PenzaNews. Six road sections of regional and inter-municipal significance, repairs of which were carried out in accordance with the 2016 plan and under the orders of the governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev, were commissioned.

In addition, according to the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Road Management of the Penza region, as of Wednesday, July 13, five culverts were commissioned, two bus stop pavilions and a crosswalk were equipped, and street lighting was installed in one road section of the regional importance.
Eight sites are complete for 80-99%, the readiness of four other sites ranges from 60% to 70%, five more ones – from 25% to 50%. Besides, road works started in 16 other sections, their readiness is less than 25%.
Contractors started to bring machinery and necessary materials on 17 sites of road infrastructure, they also set up temporary signs.
Contracts on repair of two more road sections on the territory of the Penza region are to be concluded with contractors in the coming days.
Roads repair in the Penza region became one of main issues raised during the meeting of the heads of administrative city and municipal areas, held by video conference in the regional government on Monday, July 11.
Following the results of the report of the head of the Penza region Construction Ministry Alexander Grishaev, the governor Ivan Belozertsev set the task to the head of administrations to inform the Ministry head of repair works progress and failures caused by contractors. He also asked the companies that delay work performance to hurry up.
In addition, Ivan Belozertsev instructed to formulate proposals for rural roads construction to submit a corresponding application from the Penza region to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia before 1 September, 2016.
It was also noted that the Penza region was included in the list of 19 Russian regions that in 2016 receive subsidies from the federal budget to repair bridges. Almost 400 million rubles are planned to be allocated to repair the bridge over the river of Sura on Sverdlova street in Penza, and more than 100 million rubles – to repairing the overpass bridge in Kamenka.
