Driver of bus No. 70 fined for violation of traffic regulations on Okruzhnaya street in Penza

Penza, 14 July 2016. PenzaNews. A man driving the bus No. 70 with a number plate O694MK 58RUS and a yellow sticker of the transport company “Dilizhans,” general director of which is the City Duma deputy Andrei Fomin, was called to administrative responsibility under Art. 12.18 the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation “Failure to Give Priority in Traffic to Pedestrians or to Other Road Users” for the maneuver on Okruzhnaya street in Penza.

As the press service of the Penza region department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation told the news agency PenzaNews, the driver, born 1959, was imposed an administrative fine in the amount of 1 thousand 500 rubles.

He violated the traffic rules last Friday, July 8. Driving on the lane intended for making a turn to the left, the bus driver decided to ‘cut off’ other cars that were going to drive straight forward. Presumably, the driver performed such  maneuver in order not to be stuck in a traffic jam at the evening rush hour and catch up with another bus that could pick up potential passengers, waiting at the nearest bus stop.

The road incident was recorder by a driving recorder, and the video was subsequently posted on the website of the news agency PenzaNews. On YouTube, the video reached over 1.5 thousand views.

On 12 July, the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported that there was initiated a case on administrative offense under Part 3, Art. 12.14 of the Code of Administrative Offenses “Violating the Rules of Maneuvering.”
