“At all times, the Russian fleet remained a pride of the country and a reliable safeguard of its national security. The glorious traditions set by Ushakov, Sinyavin and Lazarev, Kornilov, Nakhimov and Makarov are carefully preserved and followed by the modern generation of Russian marines,” he said.

The head of the region also expressed his gratitude to veterans of the Second World War and the Navy, as well as to all who are currently protecting the borders and peace in the country.
