The march was also joined by young people who took part in the Komsomol congregation of the Volga and Ural Federal Districts – a event at “Chistye Prudy” resort which joined young Communists from both federal districts for the first time.
The march began at the pedestrian bridge across the Sura river. The people carrying CPRF banners supported their march with proclamations such as “Lenin! Party! Komsomol!”, “The Reds Will Come – The Bills Will Fall,” “The Reds Are In The City,” “We’ll Tell You One Time, Two Times And Three – Lenin Declared Education Is Free,” “No Titles For Pay, To Education Reform We Say Nay,” and “Shame On Capitalists, Komsomols Are Walking.”
The march was escorted by the police throughout its duration.
The column walked towards the Rostok monument and turned into the Slavy public garden, where windows of nearby apartment buildings were also marked by CPRF banners.
At the Lenina square, the march took a short break.
In his address to the crowd, Georgy Kamnev, first secretary of the Regional Committee of the Communist Party, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, noted that anticapitalism is a philosophical idea of treating one’s life and the society’s treatment of a person.
“Money are the foundation of capitalism. The idea that everybody has equal rights in a capitalist society is not true, it is wrong. Those who have the most money have the most rights. Only a socialist society can give a man true freedom. Only a socialist society can give men equal rights and equal opportunities. Everybody has an opportunity to live a worthy life, regardless of his or her profession, way of life or parents. Those do not matter. Only the man himself matters. And only the man is the foundation of socialism,” he said, and his speech was met by a triple cry of “No To Capitalism, Yes To Socialism” from the crowd.
In turn, Vladimir Isakov, first secretary of the Komsomol central committee, urged the people at the march to tell those around them about socialism.
After laying flowers to the Lenin monument, the column marched towards the Lunacharsky Drama Theater.
The Anticapitalism March finished at the Belinsky public garden.
