Up to 14 thousand children to come to Penza region schools for first time on September 1

Penza, 10 August 2016. PenzaNews. 13,865 children will start their first year of school in the Penza region in 2016.

As the press service of the regional Ministry of Education reported to PenzaNews, it is 136 students more than in 2015.
“Over the past five years there have been a steady increase in the number of first-graders: 2012 – 11,396 students, in 2013 – 11,722, in 2014 – 13,055, 2015 – 13,729,” the ministry clarified.
The ministry explained that in five years altogether in the region the number of students increased by more than 6 thousand and in 2016 amounted to 118,736 children.
“According to preliminary estimates, by 2018 the trend of increasing in the number of students will remain - the expected number of students is approximately 120 thousand people,” the press service added.
