Penza, 15 August 2016. PenzaNews. Officials of the Penza region, exercising control in the sphere of alcohol products turnover, will act as customers to identify counterfeit and retail outlets that do not have a license, as instructed by the governor Ivan Belozertsev.

“Take your ties and jackets off, come [to the store] and ask them for a bottle of vodka, followed by a license request,” the head of the region suggested during the video conference with the heads of administrations of municipal districts and municipal areas held on Monday, August 15.

According to Ivan Belozertsev, at that point the law enforcement officers and representatives of the relevant departments are to enter.

The governor also instructed the head of the Regional Ministry of Agriculture Andrei Burlakov to forward them a list of stores that are licensed to sell alcohol.

In relation to all the other stores, the head of the region demanded to take the most stringent measures.

Ivan Belozertsev drew attention to the fact that combating illicit alcohol trafficking must not resemble “shooting on the wheel,” but be a well-built system.
