During the meeting in the city administration on Thursday, August 18, he drew attention to the fact that since the territory around the alley had been landscaped and improved, a large amount of people started visiting it.
“There is a need to create favorable conditions for outdoor enthusiasts to enable them to change clothes, take a shower after sports,” the mayor’s press service quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
As PenzaNews reported earlier, landscaping of Olimpiyskaya alley in Penza will be completed by the end of September.
The reconstruction project includes construction of new sidewalks, the expansion of the sports complex, the installation of additional trash cans and benches, park lamps.
The area of the new park is around 6 hectares. At present, the territory is cleared of dead trees, and those trees that are a possible threat to the visitors.
It is expected that the center will be exclusively a pedestrian walkway — it should be banned for cyclists and skaters. They will have a special looped track.
