Penza, 28 August 2016. PenzaNews. The observers of the Organization of Security and Co-operation in Europe Anna Galan from Ukraine and Ingmar Goesta Hermansson from Finland, who will monitor the preparations for the seventh convocation State Duma MPs’ elections, met with the acting chief of the Russian MIA in the Penza region police colonel Pavel Gavrilin.

They wanted to know what the functions of the police during the election period are, what kind of violations may occur on the election day, and whether they were registered in previous years.

Pavel Gavrilin explained that the main task of the police is maintenance of public order and security of citizens.
