Penza center for stray animals left without premises

Penza, 30 August 2016. PenzaNews. The “Pitomets” stray animals centre situated in Penza, Kurskaya Street, 1A must release the rented space within a day.

It is planned that on Wednesday, August 31, the representatives of the “Helping Hand to Stray Animals” fund, coordinating the work of the center, will hold a press conference to tell about the future of the center inwards.
“The owner sent a letter notifying that we need to vacate the premises rented for the needs of the center back in 2014, within a day. The decision to sell the premises was made by the owner long ago, but he failed to warn the tenants,” the executive director of the “Helping Hand to Stray Animals” fund Inna Nazarova stressed.
As the announcement of the press conference informs, currently the center has 80 inwards. The center works on animal sterilization, carries out post-operative care, and searches for new owners.
During the two years of work, over 1,500 animals received different types of help in “Pitomets.”
Currently, the facility is under reconstruction in order to increase the handling capacity of the center.
