Zarechny, 31 August 2016. PenzaNews. The opening of the competition “City Cyber-Olympics 60+” will be held at the community center “Lad” in Zarechny, the Penza region on Tuesday, September 6.

The social project is aimed at increasing computer literacy and the development of Internet activity of older people to adapt them to the modern information environment.

Any resident of Zarechny over 60 years old, owning basic computer skills, and registered in the social networks can become the contest participant.

The project consists of informational and educational, practical, and competitive stages.

At first, the participants will be acquainted with city websites, useful online resources and government online-services. During the practical stage the retirees will learn to find information, make doctor’s appointment via the Internet, book and buy tickets, and also appreciate the opportunities of social networks.

The winners of the competitive stage will receive awards.

“City Cyber-Olympics” will end on Thursday, September 8, the department of public relations of Zarechny informs.
