“On May 16, 2016, at night the man stole the birds from one of the company sites situated near the forest, put them in the trunk of his car and drove home. On his way, the man changed his mind and decided to bring the birds back, turn around, but then went back to his house, where he was detained by the police,” the Nizhny Lomov area court spokesman told PenzaNews.

He clarified that the man was accused of a break-in theft, but the court did not find evidence that the defendant broke into the premises of the production site.

“The man had paid the penalty before the sentence came into legal force,” he added.
